|Title||"CHANDI PAT SAT SAI," or "The Catechism of the Reading (or worship) of Chandi" in Sanskrit.|
|Description||According to a note of the Rev. John Cameron, Chaplain, 93rd Highlanders, 1899, enclosed in the MS., it consists of a paraphrase and interpretation, composed by the rishis in recent times, of a few verses of the Rigveda, which are in this way adapted for the comparatively modern worship of the goddess Chandi (Devi); the pundit who gave him the MS. said that it was about 200 years old, and had been in his family for that time; and it was procured for Col. Goff by Bachi Ram, Brahmin and Pundit of Almora. 4.5 in. x 7.5 in.|
